... Kawa-kawa Hill, Albay

Upon arriving in Legazpi Albay, the weather was not that good. It wasn't raining but the clouds was literally covering the Mayon Volcano (the main attraction of Legazpi Albay) so there's no use going near the volcano that's why we've decided to just visit some of Albays tourist attraction such as the Kawa-kawa Hill. We rented a tricycle because it was quite far from the city again. Kawa-kawa Hill is famous as a religious destination because of the larger than life Stations of the Cross. But sad to say, I only reach 2 stations and after that I went back. I couldn't reach the top of the hill or the last station, I was already catching my breath reaching the 2nd station how much more if i tried to reach the top, i might faint.. hahahaha...

... way going up...

... while going up you will see a lot of this, inspirational words...

... 2nd station ...

... the Last Supper, found at the entrance ...

Then we went to a mall and they have this chapel. We went inside, said our prayers and took some pictures as well.

... amazing amphitheater, Albay ...

Another tourist destination in Albay is of course the famous open air Amphitheater and Stella Maris Chapel located in Cagraray Albay. It's a one hour ride from the city of Legazpi. This is also the way going to the famous world class resort known as Misibis Bay Resort but lets save that for my next blog. We went first to Stella Maris Chapel, a chapel made almost of glass.  A different kind of chapel and i think its really a good place if you want a beautiful private wedding. After the chapel, we went directly to the famous Amphitheater, as you may know this place became one of the Pit Stop in the famous Amazing Race Asia Show. Seeing the place for the first time was amazing. Exactly what I have pictured in my mind, beautiful! The view? Its perfect! Well, just check the pictures.. ;)

I heard that during night time the place is more beautiful because of the lights they placed at the sides. Too bad i wasn't able to witness it but for you guys who are planning to go there might as well wait until the sun goes down to have a better view.. ;D

Hoyop-hoyopan Cave, Albay

I guess its about time to write something new in this blog of mine. It's been a while since the last time i took a well-deserved vacation so here it is.

Few weeks ago, me and my mom took another "its more fun in the philippines" vacation. This time we've decided to visit Albay Philippines. We don't like having a tour package because of some reasons so I personally researched and planned the places we visited. For our first stop, let me bring you to the beautiful Hoyop-hoyopan Cave in Camalig, Albay. Going there is a challenged, its a little bit far from the city so what I did, we rented a tricycle that could bring us to the cave and bring us back to the city. We arrived around 2:00 in the afternoon and no one is visiting the cave and I guess its a good thing since we can take pictures wherever we want without a photobomber. We paid the entrance fee of 300 pesos (group of 4, regardless if your alone, or two or three you still have to pay 300) and that includes a tour guide inside the cave.

This was actually my first time to go inside a cave and im soooo excited. The tour guide was very nice, aside from explaining to us the history he also offered to be our photographer. If your the type of person who loves cave, then i guess you must visit Hoyop-hoyopan cave. ;)

looks like a folding fingers ...

looks like a snakes head as what the tour guide said ....

,,Moses..

... closer look of the folded fingers...

... skull..

A must see tourist spot in Albay. The tour guide said that tourists usually go there during morning, so lucky for us we chose to visit the cave in the afternoon, we didn't have to wait for our turn to go inside. ;)

15, 185 skylanterns.. World Guinness Record for the Philippines!

Last May 24, 2013, Philippines made a history, Iloilo made a history, Miag-ao made a history, and I made history. I was one of the 15, 000-20,000 people who participated in "The Inaugural Light of Peace Event". This event promotes world peace through inner peace and at the same time the organizer aims to break the World Guinness Record for the most skylanterns released simultaneously. And yes we did it, we broke the record and we are now part of the Guinness World record.

Celebrated my 25th birthday with 15, 185 skylanterns being released simultaneously. What an amazing experienced and those skylanterns made my day extra special. ;D

... almost perfect... Campuestohan Highland Resort ;D

Wanted to celebrate advance Mothers day with a twist. I wanna celebrate it with my mom differently, so much for bags, shoes, dining out, cakes etc, this time it will be different. Had to do some research on what's the best place to visit near Iloilo City. Then found this newly opened resort named Campuestohan Highland Resort located in Negros Occidental about an hour ferry ride from Iloilo City and another an hour jeepney ride from Bacolod City. So this is it, this is my next destination!

The place was almost perfect, i could not ask for more. If you want to relax, this resort is perfect for you. Surrounded by mountains and with a great view of Bacolod City, its like living on top of the world.

... the cabin ... ;)

... Lord of the Rings inspired cottages , my place for a night ... ;)

... beautiful view of the resort ,,,

Aside from the beautiful view, they also have life sized statues of the different superheroes and other characters that we know... ;)

If you want to take a dip, they also have swimming pools for adults and children which we can enjoy. And they also have this giant playground for children below 12 years old, well, even the adults can enjoy in this beautiful and colorful playground. ;)
