.. Mayon Volcano in its own perfect time .... ;D

We arrived in Legazpi saturday morning . On this day we were supposed to visit the famous Cagsawa Ruins and Lignon Hill to see the Mayon Volcano. But sad to say, the weather is not good, its raining and the volcano is totally covered by clouds. So theres no use of going there, instead, we went to some tourist attractions as I've mentioned in my previous blog. On the second day, still no luck! The weather is good, its not raining but still we can't  see the Mayon, so im feeling hopeless, its been two days and still no Mayon. So, i've decided to just continue with our plan by going to Misibis Bay Resort (which i already mentioned in my previous blog). After a well deserved rest in Misibis Bay, we went back to Legazpi to catch a bus ride going to Naga (another province of Albay), which is by the way a 2 hour bus drive. Upon arriving in Legazpi on our 3rd day of vacation, we had some luck. The weather is perfect and finally we have witnessed the beauty of Mayon Volcano. Since we haven't had a picture, not even one, with the volcano, we've decided not to pursue our plan for CamSur, instead, we stayed and went to Cagsawa Ruins, Lignon Hill and bought some 'pasalubong' for our family back in Iloilo (sad to say, we're going home tomorrow).

Seeing Mayon Volcano for the first time was unbelievable. i was sooo amazed with its beauty, I never thought that Mayon Volcano is really really big. At first I was disappointed because we have to cancel our trip to CamSur, since, we didn't anticipate that Mayon Volcano is not always around, i mean, its there but you cannot see its beauty as often as you want. But at the end of the day, thinking about it and seeing all my pictures with the famous volcano, i can say that  it was totally worth it.

.. the famous Mayon Volcano ...

If anyone of you is planning to go to Legazpi and see the famous Mayon Volcano, you have to make time for it, what I mean is, if your lucky you get to see the Mayon right away but if your not might as well spend more time in the province so you will be able to see its beauty. Your vacation is not complete without a picture in this famous and beautiful volcano. For us, we got to see the Mayon on our 3rd day. And for the cancelled trip to CamSur, i guess i'll just have to plan another trip some other time.

Misibis Bay Resort, Albay

Ok, so here it is. After visiting some of Albays tourist destination its now time to relax my feet, smell the fresh air, and just watch the ocean. We chose to do this at Misibis Bay Resort, a world class resort in the Philippines .We've heard so much about this place even before we went there, you can see it in the internet, television show, and even some celebrities have been posting their pictures at Misibis Bay and that includes 2013 Ms. World Maegan Young, Maja Salvador, Gerald Anderson, the cast of the television show "Misibis" and most especially Zach Efron, yes, Zach Efron went there few months ago.. ;)

We made a reservation few weeks ago because as what I have seen in some reviews tourist need to make reservation prior to arrival to avoid conflict. A van arrived in our hotel in Legazpi City that will bring us to the resort. The travel time is about an hour and if your planning to visit there on your own or without reservation I think you will have a hard time because there's no public transportation going there, you have to rent a car and i think it would cost you much.

Upon arriving we were welcomed by a tribe dancers and drinks, such a nice gesture. Then we were escorted going to the reception area for some identification and signing then we went to our villa. The place is almost perfect, the staff are so accommodating and i love that. If you want adventure they have so many to choose from, all you need is money!! If i name them all it will take much time so i suggest just visit their website, http://misibisbay.com/, and you can see  everything there. The food are delicious, there are so many to choose from. If you want to really relax and have some time for yourself or your family you should visit this place.

... Kawa-kawa Hill, Albay

Upon arriving in Legazpi Albay, the weather was not that good. It wasn't raining but the clouds was literally covering the Mayon Volcano (the main attraction of Legazpi Albay) so there's no use going near the volcano that's why we've decided to just visit some of Albays tourist attraction such as the Kawa-kawa Hill. We rented a tricycle because it was quite far from the city again. Kawa-kawa Hill is famous as a religious destination because of the larger than life Stations of the Cross. But sad to say, I only reach 2 stations and after that I went back. I couldn't reach the top of the hill or the last station, I was already catching my breath reaching the 2nd station how much more if i tried to reach the top, i might faint.. hahahaha...

... way going up...

... while going up you will see a lot of this, inspirational words...

Then we went to a mall and they have this chapel. We went inside, said our prayers and took some pictures as well.

... amazing amphitheater, Albay ...

Another tourist destination in Albay is of course the famous open air Amphitheater and Stella Maris Chapel located in Cagraray Albay. It's a one hour ride from the city of Legazpi. This is also the way going to the famous world class resort known as Misibis Bay Resort but lets save that for my next blog. We went first to Stella Maris Chapel, a chapel made almost of glass.  A different kind of chapel and i think its really a good place if you want a beautiful private wedding. After the chapel, we went directly to the famous Amphitheater, as you may know this place became one of the Pit Stop in the famous Amazing Race Asia Show. Seeing the place for the first time was amazing. Exactly what I have pictured in my mind, beautiful! The view? Its perfect! Well, just check the pictures.. ;)

I heard that during night time the place is more beautiful because of the lights they placed at the sides. Too bad i wasn't able to witness it but for you guys who are planning to go there might as well wait until the sun goes down to have a better view.. ;D

Hoyop-hoyopan Cave, Albay

I guess its about time to write something new in this blog of mine. It's been a while since the last time i took a well-deserved vacation so here it is.

Few weeks ago, me and my mom took another "its more fun in the philippines" vacation. This time we've decided to visit Albay Philippines. We don't like having a tour package because of some reasons so I personally researched and planned the places we visited. For our first stop, let me bring you to the beautiful Hoyop-hoyopan Cave in Camalig, Albay. Going there is a challenged, its a little bit far from the city so what I did, we rented a tricycle that could bring us to the cave and bring us back to the city. We arrived around 2:00 in the afternoon and no one is visiting the cave and I guess its a good thing since we can take pictures wherever we want without a photobomber. We paid the entrance fee of 300 pesos (group of 4, regardless if your alone, or two or three you still have to pay 300) and that includes a tour guide inside the cave.

This was actually my first time to go inside a cave and im soooo excited. The tour guide was very nice, aside from explaining to us the history he also offered to be our photographer. If your the type of person who loves cave, then i guess you must visit Hoyop-hoyopan cave. ;)

looks like a folding fingers ...

looks like a snakes head as what the tour guide said ....

,,Moses..

... closer look of the folded fingers...

... skull..

A must see tourist spot in Albay. The tour guide said that tourists usually go there during morning, so lucky for us we chose to visit the cave in the afternoon, we didn't have to wait for our turn to go inside. ;)
