...so relaxing... Marbuena Island Resort ...

Another destination this summer is Marbuena Island Resort located at the Northern part of Iloilo. We took a bus for 2 hours and a 15 minute boat ride to reach this untouched, well preserved beach. Seeing the island was beautiful, it looks like Boracay plus the sandbar, and it took my breath away. Just hearing the waves and the wind was heaven. Seeing those huge mountains and feeling the waves on my feet was breathtaking. Got my bag and went to our cottage which they call the boat house (it looks like a boat). The resort does not have electricity from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm but it doesn't matter. The resort is big enough for you to enjoy, they have cottages for day use, they also have cottages for those who wants to spend the night. They also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner but if you want to cook your own food, you can do that also. The place is perfectly beautiful for those tourist who wants a peaceful, quiet and relaxing beach to enjoy. And i guess this island is perfect for us. ;)

Ayagao Beach, Capiz... ;)

For my first summer destination, Ayagao Beach in Capiz is on the list. Feeling a little groggy from last nights party, we embarked on a journey that would blow away our hangover ;), 30 to 45 minutes from Roxas City, we have reached our destination, bringing nothing but ourselves and of course our camera. A simple beach  that would give so much happiness. Under the striking sun, we had our pictures taken, the beach , the sand, the rocks, the ocean, and our love ones all in one.. ;)

Kapurpurawan Rock Formation, Ilocos Norte! ;D

Few months ago I was watching a local news and they are having this summer special and saw this unique beautiful place. Right then I went online and booked a ticket, (sudden decision, hahahaha) then  promised myself, I'm going there.  ;)

Another famous tourist destination in Ilocos Norte is the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. Going there was a challenged especially for us, (not athletic, with some fat deposits in our body, i hope you get what i mean, hahaha) under the heat of the sun and a  10-15 minute walk we managed to arrived in our destination. Magnificent view of the rock formation, the sound of the waves, the beautiful ocean, being put together to welcome the tourist. I placed some of my pictures below and you decide how wonderful the place is.;D

My trip in Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte ends here. I'm going home but i'm bringing so much memories and  experiences that I will never forget.... Thank you Ilocos for this wonderful journey.. ;D

Paoay Church, Ilocos Norte! ;)

For our next destination, we are now headed to the famous Paoay Church, a world heritage sight, another tourist destination and another reason Ilocanos should be proud of. Seeing that magnificent church was amazing. As much as I want to take pictures right away i had to go inside the church first and pray. Then I went outside and took some pictures of course, I can't go home without it. :)

Ferdinand Marcos, Batac Ilocos Norte .. ;)

For our next destination in Ilocos Norte, we are now headed to the famous Malacanang of the North. We we're kinda wondering whats inside this tourist attraction and why its called that. Then we found out that Malacanang of the North is the place where the late Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos stays during his time. A well preserved house made of  hard wood; the floor, ceiling, stairs and even the furniture.

Next stop is Batac, Ilocos Norte. It is where the preserved body of Ferdinand Marcos is being housed. This is actually one of the many reasons why we chose Ilocos for this trip. When we arrived, there were some tourist waiting outside wanted to see the body also. We were told that we are not allowed to take pictures inside and if we do , we will be punish. So I kept my camera and went inside. A room filled with artificial flowers (flowers were made out of shell)welcomed us. Then we saw the late Ferdinand Marcos, lying in the middle of the room covered with glass. It was a very nice experienced, i think this was the best part of our trip. I m not really a fan of Marcos or the Philippine history but having the opportunity to see him personally was amazing, it was totally worth it.
